Porto Vintage of the Year 2001
Strong red colour and deep this Vintage 2001 has a good complexity, intense aroma of berries. In the mouth it is dense and full-bodied, young with a soft attack of flavours and heat, typical of Douro supported a solid tannic structure with excellent acidity. With sweetness not too intense, long and persistent finish. This DR Porto Vintage 2001 has great aging potential.
Alcohol Content: 20% Vol.
Acidity: 3,90g/dm³
Grapes: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca.

The aging takes place in large vats, oak barrels or stainless steel vats for the oxidative evolution, that is extremely slow.
The L. B. V. is bottled between 31 of July of the fourth year and 31 of December of the sixth year after harvest.
In the category Late Bottled Vintage is also within the Port wine "Aged in the bottle" or Bottle Matured. This Port has high quality and ages in bottle for at least three years and therefore can create deposit.
