This it’s a very good red wine Vinho Verde, produced in Portugal in the demarcated region of Vinho Verde in northwestern Portugal. In the palate it’s full-bodied and persistent. Full of mature berries, long and complex. Like the majority of red wine Vinho Verde it’s fresh and young.
This pleasingly red wine from Alentejo region it’s not a wine to keep in the cellar. It’s a wine to be drunk now. It is not a pretentious wine, it’s silky but elegant, smooth and well balanced.
There are special red wines and this vintage 2005, from the Herdade dos Templarios, is one of the special red wine, produced in Portugal with premium quality. It’s called “garrafeira” (in English: wine cellar).
All starts with selective and manual Harvest in 20 kg boxes. The grapes are treated like queens or like little soft pearls and they are quickly transported to the winery.
