The harvest is carried out manually, with the separation of grape varieties, to allow a separated vinification, for later the lots being made in accordance with the characteristics of the wines produced.
In our estate, in Vila Nova de Famalicão, you can find the cellar where all our Vinho Verde is made, with the most recent processes, using exclusively grapes from our own vineyards.

Espadeiro Grapes
Espadeiro is grown in the Vinhos Verdes region, where the wine produced by this grape variety is much appreciated. Produces ruby colored wines with a fresh, grapey aroma and flavor. Traditionally vinified in “open spout” at different locations in the region for production of rosé wine.
This grape variety is very productive and has big compact bunches made up of medium-sized, uniform berries.
Vinho Verde’s rosé wines have the same spritzy character as the far more prominent white wines that are made under the title in northern Portugal. This is due to the retention of carbon dioxide in the winemaking process, and has become a key feature of Vinho Verde wines.
The Vinho Verde
Sparkling Rosé Vinho Verde shares the typical Vinho Verde profile, with enhanced aromatic freshness and a greater complexity of flavors. The consumer’s preference dictates the choice between Brut Natural and Sweet, depending on the concentration of residual sugar, or between Reserve and Grand Reserve, determined by the time in the bottle.
Sparkling Rosé wine Vinho Verde wines are light or dark pink, with young and fresh aromas, reminiscent of red fruits. The flavors are balanced, fresh and lingering.
The Denomination of Origin Vinho Verde
Is a traditional name that designates wine products originating from grapes from the demarcated region of Vinho Verde, whose quality and uniqueness are a result of the natural conditions of the region, and whose winemaking and production occur within the demarcated region.
To qualify for the Designation of Origin Vinho Verde, wine products are subject to strict control of all stages of the production process, from the vineyard to the glass. The varieties used the methods of vinification and organoleptic characteristics are just some of the elements which the Denomination of Origin controls.
The quality and genuineness of Denomination of Origin Vinho Verde products is ensured by the Seal of Guarantee, which has certified Vinho Verde since 1959.
The temperature at which wine is served has a preponderant role in the perception of its quality.
The temperature recommended for consumption is: Sparkling Vinho Verde: 6-8 ° C.
If the bottle is at a temperature of 20 ° C, it will require about 2 to 3 hours in a refrigerator to bring the wine to the proper temperature. Alternatively, if the wine is placed in a bucket with ice and water, it will require about 30-40 minutes. But as important as serving wine at the right temperature is, it is also important to keep it at the same temperature, for example with a bucket with ice and water.
To open sparkling wine, the capsule should be removed, then open and remove the muzzle or muselet (the metal part that surrounds the cork). Withdraw the cork, holding it firmly and turning the bottle, not the cork, as it could break when twisting it. The pressure inside the container will help to pop out the stopper. The act of shaking the bottle of bubbly and then pulling the cork out will cause a fountain of foam and can celebrate a moment of joy. However, the foam causes a loss of wine without gas with the consequent loss of the wine’s most distinguishing feature.
Enjoy the sparkling wine in one flute – high, narrow and elegant – is ideal for sparkling wine.
